... Mylný pojem (λόγος – správně výpověď) je však ten, který, pokud je mylný, vztahuje se k něčemu, co není. Proto každý pojem (správně výpověď) jest mylným, který je utvořen o jiné věci než o té, vzhledem k níž jest pravdivý, na příklad nesprávný je pojem trojhranného kruhu. O každé věci jest sice v jednom smyslu jenom jeden pojem (logos), jenž vyjadřuje její bytnost (to ti én einai), v jiném smyslu jest jich však mnoho, ježto v jistém smyslu táž věc jest sama o sobě, ale sama o sobě i s určitými vlastnostmi, například Sokrates a vzdělaný Sokrates. Nesprávný pojem (logos) jest však prostě pojmem (logos) o ničem. ...
