Tendenz zur Lösung dieser Antinomie wird somit als universal angenommen und das Gesamterleben in dieser Richtung gesehen: die aktive und einzige Beziehung des Erlebens ist in seiner Totalität auf diese causa finalis, der Lösung der Urantinomie als seinem „Wert an sich“ asymptotisch gerichtet, erlangend auf dem unendlichen Wege Annäherungswerte, Teilwerte, Wertfiktionen.Den Antinomiepolaren entsprechend sind zwei radikale Lösungsmöglichkeiten zu denken:
a) die Willensfreiheit des autonomen Ichs wird den Determinanten des Fremdkomplexes (Natur- und Psychogesetzlichkeit, Logizität, usf.) unterworfen,
b) der Fremdkomplex wird von der freien Aktivität des Ichs abhängig gemacht, wird schließlich dessen Setzung.
Rigorose Verfolgung dieser beiden Asymptotenrichtungen ergeben für das Individuum
zu a) ich gehe im All auf,
zu b) ich bin das All.
Dogmatisch genommen, geben die beiden Formeln Zusammenfassungen der rationalistischen Weltanschauungen und zwar des Materialismus (samt psychologistischen Spielarten) einerseits, des Solipsismus anderseits. Irgendwie aber immer: ob vom rationalen und griechischen Universalismus des Naturgesetzes, ob von der Notwendigkeit göttlicher Allheit, ob vom absoluten Ich getragen: jedweder Philosophie metaphysische Komponente tendiert zur monistischen Lösung.
