This document examines the nature of truth, challenging the traditional philosophical assumption that truth is absolute or objective. The author argues that truth is inherently relational; where there is no possibility of error, falsehood, or deception, the concept of authenticity or truth itself cannot exist. Drawing on Spinoza’s principle that truth is the criterion of both itself and of error (index sui et falsi), the text explores truth as a force that illuminates all reality. This relationship between truth and falsehood is seen as a specific instance of truth's broader connection to everything that exists and to all attempts at human understanding. Furthermore, the text emphasizes the vital importance of reflection. Without conscious reflection, one cannot achieve openness or a deliberate commitment to the truth. Ultimately, truth is presented not as a static, detached object, but as a dynamic reality that necessitates active reflection and the courage to engage with potential fallibility.

To nás nutně vede k respektu a vážnosti ve vztahu k reflexi: bez reflexe nemůžeme uskutečnit svou otevřenost – a víc: svou vědomou a záměrnou vydanost – pravdě.
