This text explores the phenomenological and ontological question of actuality and its origins. The author critiques the common tendency to view novelty merely as a causal product of previous events, which bypasses the fundamental problem of how something acquires the character of the "here and now" (hic et nunc). The reflection focuses on the process by which an entity becomes actual and subsequently loses its actuality as it transitions into the past. It raises critical questions about the relationship between what a thing is and its temporal status—whether it is current, past, or yet to be. By engaging with Eleatic perspectives on being, the author examines the conceptual difficulties in defining the existence of past and future entities. The abstract highlights the need to clarify the mechanism of transition between the states of "to-be," "being," and "having-been." Ultimately, the text points to the profound complexity of temporality that standard causal explanations fail to address, inviting a deeper investigation into the nature of actual existence.

Aktuálnost a její původ
