This text explores the phenomenological and ontological investigation of the concept of intention, seeking to transcend its traditional definition as an exclusive property of the human mind or consciousness. The author proposes understanding intentionality in a broader sense as "directionality" or "telicity" (téličnost), which is inherent even in natural processes and organisms outside the realm of thought. The central concept here is the "event," defined as a temporally bounded occurrence with its own beginning and end. An event is viewed as a dynamic whole that strives toward its own fulfillment and completion. This internal dynamics of a "true event" is not determined by external circumstances but emanates from the event itself. The text thus offers a new perspective on the structure of becoming, where intention represents a constitutive element enabling the integrity and direction of an event in time, thereby opening the way to a deeper understanding of process ontology and the philosophy of nature.
