This reflection explores the relationship between human consciousness, hope, and the structure of time. The author contemplates the human mind's ability to transcend the boundaries of the immediate present and project itself into the distant past and future. It raises the question of whether the future is less real simply because it has not yet occurred, or if it is merely a subject of intentional subjectivity. The text argues against the reduction of reality to mere instantaneous actuality and proposes a broader concept of reality that includes what has already passed or what might potentially happen. This approach critically revises the traditional philosophical understanding of modality, where past and future states were perceived only as modes of the present moment. The aim is to demonstrate that human existence is essentially linked to temporal horizons that exceed the "here and now," and that these horizons possess their own ontological weight, independent of simple current existence. The reflection thus opens up space for a deeper understanding of hope as a relationship to an open and real future.

Naděje a čas
