This text critically examines the position of philosophical anthropology within the system of philosophical disciplines. The author challenges the view proposed by Jürgen Habermas in 1958, who characterized anthropology as a "reactive" discipline that does not provide a foundation for individual sciences but merely processes their findings. The author argues that this perspective is distorted and stems from the current, insufficient state of the field. He asserts that both the human sciences and philosophical anthropology contain fundamental conceptual frameworks that can and must serve as a preliminary stage for establishing a truly foundational philosophical discipline. Whether or not this discipline retains the name "anthropology," it should belong to "first philosophy" or exist in its closest proximity. The text emphasizes the necessity of rehabilitating anthropology as a fundamental discipline capable of providing a deep theoretical framework for understanding human existence. The ultimate goal is to move beyond the current fragmentation and passivity of the field toward an active constitution of the philosophical foundations of humanity.
