This philosophical reflection explores the relationship between the concepts of 'Being' and 'is-ness'. The author engages with Alain Badiou’s proposition that being is a multiplicity without unity, but applies this specific characteristic to 'is-nesses' instead. In contrast, Being is conceptualized as the fundamental unity that organizes or governs a specific set of these 'is-nesses'. The text emphasizes a critical ontological stance where 'is-nesses' are not considered concrete entities or constituent parts of existence, but rather conceptual abstractions. By repositioning these terms, the author challenges traditional ontological frameworks and Badiou's interpretation. The discussion highlights the tension between unity and multiplicity in metaphysical thought, suggesting that while 'is-nesses' represent a fragmented state of abstraction, Being provides the necessary unifying structure. This brief reflection serves as a foundational inquiry into how we categorize existence and the status of abstract concepts versus reality. Consequently, this analysis provides a contribution to understanding how the boundaries between real existence and mere conceptual constructs are defined.

Bytí a ,jestota‘
