Kvantifikace a „realita“
Je třeba si osvojit (a tudíž skutečně brát za svou a stále upevňovat) zásadu či pravidlo, že všude tam, kde se (a to sebeúspěšněji) pokoušíme o kvantifikace čili o měření a počítání, touž měrou se vzdalujeme od skutečnosti, byť jen v jistém smyslu (neboť měříme-li něco, nepřestává tu ono „něco“ být čímsi skutečným). Je to možno dokumentovat už na samých počátcích „filosofie“ (která se zrodila vlastně jako dvojče s geometrií či vůbec matematikou): již do krajnosti domyšlené „jedno a všechno“ nepřehlédnutelně ukazuje onen nepřekročitelný rozpor se „skutečností“, která je (jak všichni víme) pluralitní. A i tam, kde je pluralita zavedena do samých počátků, je veškerá „skutečnost“ zbavena své skutečnosti – vše jsou jen atomy a prázdno; ostatek je pouhé zdání. Docela zvláštním způsobem to dokládá vývoj teoretického myšlení v současné fyzice, v níž jsou zbavovány „skutečnosti“ i takové ještě relativně nedávno zdůrazňované jevy, jako je gravitace, nebo dokonce jakékoli „síly“ vůbec (a vše je nahrazováno matematickými formulemi). A co nelze kvantifikovat, tj. uchopit matematicky a pak s tím matematicky pracovat, je odkázáno do říše předsudků (a tedy neskutečností).
