This text examines Heraclitus's conception of wisdom and truth based on fragment B 108. The author analyzes Heraclitus's claim that "wisdom is separated from all things" and draws a comparison with the Pythagorean approach to philosophy. Although Heraclitus was highly critical of Pythagoras, a fundamental agreement exists between them regarding the nature of truth (aletheia). While Pythagoras identifies the philosopher as one who loves and desires truth without possessing it, Heraclitus intensifies this notion by asserting the ontological separation of truth from all beings. Truth is not contained within any existing thing nor linked to it; rather, it is radically distinct. From this perspective, truth is understood as non-objective and "non-being" in a conventional sense, representing something entirely other than the world of objects. The analysis highlights the shift from possessing knowledge to recognizing the transcendence of truth, providing insight into the archaic understanding of the relationship between human inquiry and ultimate reality.
