This text explores the problem of the identity of an event, conceptualized as an entity endowed with its own specific time frame and a sense of "futurity." The author argues that an event's identity cannot be derived from anything already existing; instead, it must have a foundation in the future, from which it is granted or allotted. However, this identity is not static. An event must actively work on its identity, defending and constantly renewing it within the context of other events, thereby extending its lifespan. Thus, the identity of an event is twofold: it is both granted or entrusted, serving as a prerequisite for responsibility, and realized through the event's own efforts and decision-making. The event co-determines its life path, even while limited by the real-world context in which it is embedded. The central conclusion is that any true identity must be enabled by a foundation laid from the future rather than simply crystallizing from the past. This perspective suggests a new understanding of the term subject.
