This text explores the historical and philosophical evolution of the concept of "nature" and its definitions within human thought. The author points out that attempts to conceptually define nature have often failed because they relied on concepts tied to static objects. Central focus is given to Aristotle's perspective; although he considered the starry sky closest to "truth" due to its unchanging relationships, he still regarded physics as one of the three fundamental philosophical sciences. The text further distinguishes between physics as a science of beings subject to change and motion (hé fysiké epistémé) and a mere collection of treatises on material things (ta fysika). The analysis highlights the tension between the dynamic reality of nature and the static conceptual tools used to describe it. Overall, the reflection offers insight into the deep roots of our understanding of "naturalness" and emphasizes the importance of terminological precision when studying ancient philosophy and its scientific disciplines.

Příroda a „přirozenost“
