This text offers a critical analysis of Jan Patočka's conception of human existence and situational awareness. The author challenges Patočka’s assertion that animals, unlike humans, are merely indifferent objects and passive playthings within their biological environment. It is argued that the capacity to transform one's situation is not an exclusive privilege of human beings endowed with knowledge or consciousness, but is inherent to all living creatures. Furthermore, the text questions the very existence of "indifferent" or "inert" objects in the world. Instead, it proposes the concept of universal reactivity as a fundamental characteristic of all real entities and "true beings." This perspective draws on late Husserlian thought and Jakob von Uexküll's biological theories. The objective of this reflection is to extend the ontological status of the active subject to the entire sphere of reality, thereby overcoming the anthropocentric prejudice regarding the passivity of the non-human world. The author emphasizes that while reactivity manifests at various levels, it remains a universal trait that necessitates a reevaluation of traditional philosophical categories of subjectivity and objectivity within the movement of existence.

Netečnost a pohyb / Indiference objektů a pohyb existence / Existence a netečnost
