The text explores profound ontological questions regarding the relationship between Being and beings, tracing these issues back to the roots of Scholastic debates. The author examines the concept of participation, through which a being shares in Being, while simultaneously questioning the distinction between beingness and Being itself. A central theme of the reflection is the problem of ontological unity: if a true being must always be one, how should we perceive entities that appear to be mere accidental collections or heaps of elements? The reflection considers whether such aggregates can be ascribed Being at all without denying their inherent nature, or if it is necessary to completely abandon the traditional metaphysical thesis regarding the indivisibility of a being. Furthermore, the analysis focuses on the nature of relationships between the individual members of a whole. The author questions whether these relationships are themselves beings and what their specific participation in Being entails. This philosophical reflection invites a deeper reassessment of fundamental metaphysical categories and the understanding of reality as a structured whole.

Bytí a jsoucí
