This text examines the relationship between philosophy and theology, highlighting that both disciplines share access to certain subjects despite their differing methodologies. Philosophy possesses a unique capacity to critically analyze not only its own approaches but also theological ones. For this analysis to be effective, a philosopher must remain open to theology without abandoning their commitment to critical rigor. The author argues that philosophy must take seriously the fundamental distinctness of the theological approach and its specific subject matter. Only through such openness can philosophy identify its own unjustified assumptions or prejudices that might otherwise remain hidden. Engaging with a theological perspective can thus lead to a transformation of the philosophical inquiry itself and a deeper self-reflection of the discipline. The relevance of philosophy's openness to theology lies in this potential to revise its foundations and achieve a more comprehensive understanding of reality that philosophy alone might never attain. This process ultimately requires a willingness to critically re-evaluate existing intellectual positions.

Teologie – filosofický smysl / Filosofie a teologie
Ovšem to zároveň znamená, že filosof musí vzít vážně onu principiální odlišnost teologického přístupu k „věci samé“, a tím i principiální odlišnost „věci samé“, k níž teolog (teologie) svým způsobem přistupuje. A v tom spočívá smysl a relevance otevřenosti filosofa vůči teologii.
